The product_type attribute [product_type_type] is one of the attributes used to classify products in your Feed. The information you set for the product_type attribute [product_type_type] will be used to set bids and reports for each product group on your website.

How to use the product_type attribute on Google Ads?
Step 1: Set the product_type attribute for Feed:

If you use Novaon AutoAds' Google Shopping product, the system will automatically create the product_type attribute for each product and match the product catalog available on your website.

You can check this attribute on each product according to the following guidelines:

1. Log in to your Google Ads account that is connected to your Google Merchant Center account.
2. Select: Campaign Shopping> Campaigns> Ad groups
3. Then select Products> Choose any product in the management of Ad group.

The product_type attribute will display in the product properties management section

Step 2: Set up bids for product groups

1. Click the + next to the product group name.

2.Select the menu next to Split [product group name] under "and select Product type to group products by category
After selecting, Google Ads will display the category 1 products on your website. For example, if your Product Catalog has 2 levels as follows: Household Electric - Refrigeration> Kitchenware, Google will only display Household Electricity - Refrigeration.

3. Enter bid for the selected product groups and then click Save to finish.
